Library materials must be renewed on or before the due date. Materials cannot be renewed if they have been recalled or placed on hold by another patron, if the borrower has a delinquent Interlibrary Loan item(s), or any other outstanding fees due to the Library. As a courtesy, overdue notices are sent to borrowers after the loan period has expired.
Patrons may renew books online if they are not overdue. A Library barcode is required to complete the transaction.
To renew materials you need to have a Library Account which is seperate from your Remote Access account. You need to get to the catalog to begin this process. There are two ways to do this. From the home page at www.auctr.edu, conduct a search in the search box titled FIND WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR. The cursor is already blinking in the search box. Put any word in the box and it will bring you to the catalog interface. The other way is to click on this link.
Once on this new page you will look in the upper right hand corner and see MY LIBRARY ACCOUNT SIGN IN. Click on the hyper link. In the box designated for barcode type in your barcode. (You may recieve a library barcode by going to the Circulation desk and requesting one.) If you have already set up an account just place your password in the box beneath your barcode. If you have not set up an account click on SET/RESET PASSWORD which is found beneath the search boxes. Put your barcode in the barcode box and click the button marked REQUEST NEW PASSWORD. A new password will be sent to your school email. Once you have retrieved the password come back to the Barcode and Password box and enter your information. The catalog interface will appear again. But this time, in the upper right hand corner MY LIBRARY ACCOUNT will be in bold font and the box next to it will be green. Click on MY LIBRARY ACCOUNT.
On the next page you will see your items listed. There are three tabs, CHECKOUTS, HOLDS and CHARGES. In the CHECKOUTS section you can click on the RENEW button to renew your material.
Materials that are overdue or have been renewed twice online must be taken to the Library's circulation desk for processing
